If you are interested in digital copies of ESU dissertations and theses, check the following resources.

  • The ESU Institutional Repository at https://esirc.emporia.edu/ contains a number of ESU dissertations and theses in PDF full text.  At the repository's home page, you can click on "Dissertations" or "Theses" to browse by year.  If you know the title or the author of the item, you can search directly at "Search ESIRC".  The repository is available to anyone on or off campus, but it is not a complete collection of ESU's dissertations or theses.
  • If you are a current ESU student, faculty, or staff, you can use the Dissertations and Theses@ESU database from ProQuest to find PDFs of dissertations and theses from ESU.  Go to the Databases link at http://www.emporia.edu/library and click on the letter D.
  • If you are a current ESU student, faculty, or staff, you can also use the Dissertations and Theses - Global database from ProQuest to find PDFs of dissertations and theses from ESU and other institutions.  Go to the Databases link at http://www.emporia.edu/library and click on the letter D.
  • Physical copies of ESU theses and dissertations are shelved on the 1st floor of the library.  However, these copies can only be used in the library building; they do not circulate.
